Meditations: Order

Order

The world is in divine order.

A man looking at two petals of a rose might ask, “Why are these two petals going in different directions?” The order might not be apparent by looking at any two petals, but when one looks at the whole rose, the order is revealed. So it is with the world around us. When one looks at the parts we see, things seem to be disordered with everyone going different directions. But if we could see everything that has happened, is happening, and will happen, we would see the order in the divine plan.

When we think we see disorder, let us affirm, “There is only one power and one presence in the universe: God. The world is in divine order.”

Isaiah 54:16, “Behold, I have created the smith that blows the coals in the fire and brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the ravager to destroy.”
