Meditations: Sabbath

Sabbath

I enter the Silence; I settle in the realm of Spirit.

TThe Sabbath is neither a day nor a time. It is a higher state of consciousness where our minds attain rest. We do not need to wait for a specific day to enter this state of consciousness. We can turn within at any time, turning our eyes to Heaven and finding the Silence within.

Let us take slow, deep breaths and let the words of our heart be, “Thank you, Father.” Let us know that God is and so are we. Let us listen for the words of the Lord of our beings, the assurance that the work of Spirit is done in this place, and that we can know that all is well. Let the Silence move through us.

Exodus 31:13, “…My Sabbaths you must keep; for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am the Lord your God who sanctifies you.”
