Divine Direction
God’s grace and the Christ within me clarify divine direction for my life.
Spiritual paths are seldom straight. Major choices that come before us in our lives are not composed of easy alternatives with two branches: a dark path and a light path. On graduating high school, we may have found choices of several careers or chose from hundreds of colleges for further study.
When we face such decisions on our life paths and spiritual journeys, we need not face them alone. We may look to the Christ within us and call upon the Lord of our Beings for His grace, wisdom, and direction. Let us not ask that our way be made easy, but that it serves our higher growth.
Let our spiritual journeys lead us to our rightful places, as Paul said of his own calling in:
1 Corinthians 15:10, “But by the grace of God I am what I am; and his grace that is in me has not been in vain; for I labored more abundantly than them all, yet not I, but God’s grace that is within me.”
