Key to Success

My thoughts are my key to success, and I turn them towards the positive and open all doors.

Have you been waiting for the key to success? Many of us do. We might say, “If only this happens…” or “If only that happens…” But this and that never happen, so we seek the magic key that opens all doors.

That key has always been within us. The Bible presents many stories of choices, but the Bible is not a history of what happened thousands of years ago in distant lands. It is the story of every man’s spiritual journey, our journeys taking place now and in the land of our inner dialogs. The key to success is our decision to rule our thoughts. We can connect with and serve the Lord of our Being, or we can serve random worries.

As we go about our day, we can ask of our thoughts, “Is this for my highest and best? Is this a God-thought from the Lord of my Being? Is this Truth?” Attach no emotion to negative thoughts; just sweep them gently away. But the thoughts that are God-thoughts, creative thoughts that we can build on, visions we can work to fulfill, let us unite those thoughts with strong emotions of love and joy that God is bringing those visions to fulfillment, has already done so, and then let us move our feet.

Joshua 24:15, “And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose you this day whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the river Euphates, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
